Today, I had the luxury of a day off, but it turned out to be a rainy one. I decided to visit the ‘black’ market in Beverwijk with my parents. The last time I was there, I was still just a little boy. Let me tell you, that market is enormous! I didn’t end up purchasing anything, which genuinely surprises me. We strolled around for a good four hours and even had lunch there. I spotted lots of nice things, yet nothing made its way into my shopping bag. The place was also unbelievably crowded – there were just too many people there. Next time, I think I’d prefer to visit during the week; it’s likely to be more relaxed!

After the ‘black’ market, we drove back to Delft, and I took my parents out to dinner at a Greek restaurant I hadn’t been to in a very long time. This time, I decided to skip the meat and went for fish instead – and boy, was it delicious! I downed two shots of Ouzo, and that had me in high spirits! The waiter was certainly “greece”-ing me up, if you catch my drift.

Anyway, now I’m back home, just relaxing with a bottle of this vodka mixed drink. Good stuff! Tomorrow, it’s back to work, but my shift starts at 3 pm, so it’s all good. Stay positive and savor the last hours of your weekend!
