After finishing work, I joined Priscilla, Verena, Gosia, Alex, Maya, and Yee Lai for a delightful dinner outing. We chose Samba Kitchen, a charming Brazilian restaurant nestled in the heart of Amsterdam. To kick off the evening, we indulged in a round of cocktails at the Arc, our designated prelude to the main event. After about an hour, we made our way to Samba Kitchen, a quaint establishment renowned for its ‘all you can eat’ concept.

The food was absolutely incredible, and I found myself in a state of sheer gastronomic ecstasy. Words can hardly capture the experience. My usual restraint at such ‘all you can eat’ venues gave way to my insatiable appetite, and I may have overindulged a bit. Nevertheless, the culinary experience was worth every bite. I’m already planning to return for another visit. Oh, and the Caipirinhas were simply divine, with the staff generously refilling our glasses.

Laughter filled the air throughout the evening, and it was nearly 2 a.m. by the time I arrived home after an unexpectedly arduous solo train journey. Gosia had a last-minute commitment, and to make matters worse, the train was delayed due to an accident. Exhaustion weighed heavily on me, and I even dozed off for a brief moment while Madonna played on my iPod. Fortunately, I managed to rouse myself just in time to disembark from the train, avoiding a potential predicament.

Now, I’m going to unwind for a while, upload a few more photos to my site, and then head to bed. I have work in the morning at 11, and after that, it’s Monday again. But the silver lining is that I have a glorious three-day weekend to look forward to. I hope you’re enjoying your weekend as well.
