The Leander Show
Ladies and gentlemen, and everyone in between. Step right up! The greatest show on earth has arrived!
You might be wondering, “What’s all this fuss about?” Well, allow me to fill you in on what I’ve been up to in the past couple of weeks. I’ve been fully immersed in the process of rebranding my Twitch channel – and I mean a significant overhaul. It’s a complete transformation, and it was long overdue.
Towards the end of last year, I did a minor rebranding, switching my Twitch handle from ‘ItsLeanderTV’ to ‘ItsLeanderWTF’. I was feeling the need for a change but was struggling to find something that truly resonated with me. I was quite stuck, and it was getting frustrating. The main reason behind the change was my desire to drop the “TV” from my handle. It felt a bit outdated to me; although it might have been trendy a decade ago, times have changed, at least in my opinion. I mean, if it works for others, more power to them.
Anyway, as I was saying, I was stuck in a creative rut. I couldn’t think of an alternative that felt right. Moreover, my primary handle, ‘itsleander,’ which I use across most of my social platforms, wasn’t available on Twitch either. Can you believe someone else had snagged that name? So, after much contemplation and brainstorming, I finally made the decision to change my Twitch handle to something distinct from my other social profiles. It’s nice to have consistency across all platforms, but sometimes you have to adapt.
So, without further ado, I’m excited to introduce you to “The Leander Show”!
Thank you, thank you! Please, find yourself a seat.
Revamping the entire channel was a laborious process that consumed many hours. It encompassed more than just the title graphic and panels you see when you land on my channel; it extended to every visual aspect you encounter during my live stream. I had to overhaul all the scenes and transitions, as well as on-screen alerts and various elements. This involved redesigning and incorporating on-screen chat windows and webcam frames. It demanded countless hours and days of immersing myself in Photoshop, striving to bring my vision to life. I aimed for a look that’s fun, visually striking, appealing, and refreshing. Fortunately, I relish tinkering with design and creating in Photoshop, and I’m genuinely and completely satisfied with the final result. I truly hope you enjoy the new appearance and atmosphere as well.
So, there you have it, “The Leander Show.” You can find my new Twitch link at https://twitch.tv/TheLeanderShow, and I have a hunch that this one is here to stay for a very, very long time! Since the channel name and handle are distinct from all my socials, it’s easier to give it a fresh look without having to align it with everything else online. I’m looking forward to the idea of changing the entire aesthetic annually and making it a unique experience. This way, I can stay creatively engaged.
This upcoming Friday, I’ll launch the new design and appearance, and I’m genuinely thrilled about it. I can’t wait for all my viewers to see it.
I’ve been streaming on Twitch for five years now, and I’ve maintained my last stream layout, including the same logo for my name, for the past three years. While there were some minor tweaks along the way, this represents the first major transformation in a very long time!
That’s the announcement I wanted to make. Change is a positive thing, and I’m genuinely excited about it. I hope you are too!
