Oh my word, following last night’s disaster of locking myself out of the house, I was in for another tedious, aggravating, utterly frustrating experience.

I spent the entire night formatting my computer and reinstalling everything, and let me tell you, it was a colossal pain in the neck. My computer had fallen victim to a virus that was causing all sorts of bizarre issues, and things were getting progressively worse. So, I made the decision to wipe the system clean and reinstall everything from scratch. I finally called it a night at 10 in the morning. Yes, you read that right. I woke up at 2 pm because I didn’t want to sleep the entire day away and then struggle to sleep at night, especially with work looming tomorrow. Oh well.

Throughout the night, I battled with trying to connect to the internet, which was beyond aggravating. But thanks to Stefan, I discovered that I needed to install some device drivers. So I did just that, and lo and behold, it worked like a charm. I couldn’t be happier! I still have some minor software to install, but that can wait. The important thing is that it’s virus-free, at least for now.

The only downside is that I lost a lot of stuff. I did manage to back up all the important things I couldn’t afford to lose. But, alas, my downloaded television shows, movies, you know, the works… all gone! Oh well. At least my computer is back to normal. I’m in the process of loading it up with all sorts of antivirus and anti-spyware programs, hoping to ward off future issues!
